Mary's Story

 
Mary* is a 44 year old single mother of three who was diagnosed with stage four Breast Cancer in the first part of January. Since diagnosis Mary has been undergoing surgeries, radiation, chemotherapy and as a last resort even a stem cell transplant, all in hopes of battling this disease.

Mary is unable to work due to 194 her illness. She has been trying to live and raise her family on $540 a month in disability benefits.

Mary initially came to Cancer Patient Care after being referred to us for nutritional supplements. Since that time, Cancer cdb Patient Care has been able to help Mary and her family in many ways.

Cancer Patient Care has supplied emergency funds through grocery vouchers for food and utility bill assistance, as well as medical equipment to enable her to remain as active and mobile as possible. Mary says "I don't know what I would have done without Cancer Patient Care's help."
