The Guardians of Hope Campaign

This event is a wonderful chance to catch up on all that is going on at Cancer Patient Care and see how we are helping local cancer patients in our community and region.

Thank you to our wonderful community for your incredible support of last year's Guardians of Hope Benefit Breakfast on October 12, 2011 at the Davenport Hotel.  We were able to raise over $80,000 to help give local cancer patients a fighting chance! 

The Guardians of Hope Campaign was created to build sustainable funding for the mission and services of Cancer Patient Care.  For over 50 years, Cancer Patient Care has maintained its focus on the needs of cancer patients and their families during challenging times. 

However, we have stayed true to the founding vision of those supporters who realized many decades ago that people battling cancer deserve a fair chance - and that surviving cancer should never depend on income level or personal wealth. 

Many charities raise millions of dollars for cancer treatment and advocacy, but can give nothing directly to help the human beings who are fighting this deadly disease.  One way to cure cancer is to help those who have cancer.  That is what we have done for more than fifty years.

Most patients we help are just like you - hard-working, dedicated citizens with homes and families.  Ask yourself, "If I got cancer, what would happen to my family and me when I lose my job, insurance, and hope?"  Fortunately, thanks to those who have supported Cancer Patient Care, there is help - and hope.

You can share this hope with cancer patients and make sure they have a fighting chance.  Make a pledge today and become a Guardian of Hope.  All the money raised stays here, totally local. Having no ties with large national or statewide organizations, it is only with community support  that we are able to help cancer patients in our own area.

Become an Ambassador of Hope by pledging $1,000 or more per year for at least three years. You will be honored with a one-of-a-kind “Angels Hug Statue”. These are in limited edition of only 300 and signed and numbered by local artist, Jamieson Kelly. You will also be recognized with your name added to our 50th Anniversary Wall.
